Allium sphaerocephalon

Roundheaded Leek. A bulbous perennial which has linear, mid-green, stem clasping leaves. Small, egg-shaped, claret-coloured flowerheads are borne on tall, sturdy stems from July to August.

Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 90cm and a spread of 8cm.
