Apple ‘Ribston Pippin’

A medium sized apple which has greenish yellow skin which changes to dull yellow as it ripens, it is marked with broken streaks of pale red on the shaded side, but dull red changing to crimson on the exposed side, and generally russety over the base. The delicious, aromatic flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, rich, and sugary. Picks in October, at its best in November and December, but can store until March. (Ribston Hall, Yorkshire 18th Century). Flowering Group 2
