A medium sized apple which has a lively green colour skin which changes to yellowish green as it reaches maturity, it is almost entirely covered with brown russet. Flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, very juicy, with a rich sugary flavour. It is a first-rate apple which is at its best from February to June. (Haverhill, Suffolk 19th Century). Flowering Group 3.
