Elephant’s Ears. A robust, evergreen perennial with large, rounded, leathery green leaves that often develop rich red or bronze tints in autumn and winter. In early to mid-spring, it has upright stems topped with clusters of deep pink, bell-shaped flowers, bringing a splash of colour when little else is in bloom.
Grow in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. They are tolerant of poor soil and exposure, this enhances their winter leaf colour. It will reach a height of 35cm and a spread of 45-60cm.
