A vigorous, clump-forming perennial with broad, slightly glossy green leaves that create a dense, weed-suppressing ground cover, ideal for adding structure to borders. From mid-summer into autumn, it produces upright spikes of warm orange-red flowers, held above the foliage, providing long-lasting colour and strong vertical interest. Excellent for attracting bees and other pollinators.
Grow in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Particularly well-suited to borders, naturalistic planting, and areas with heavier soils. It will reach a height of 80-100cm and a spread of 60-80cm.
