A compact and broadly upright shrubby tree with ovate leaves, bronze-tinged as they emerge, turning green in late spring, orange and red in autumn. In mid-spring, white flowers open from pink tinged buds, followed by sweet, juicy, blue-black fruits in autumn. Deciduous.
