Convallaria majalis
Lily of the Valley. A rhizomatous perennial which produces tough, slender, creeping branching rhizomes bearing pairs of ovate-lance-shaped to elliptic, stalked, hairless basal leaves. Arching racemes of pendant, spherical-bell-shaped, strongly scented, waxy white flowers are borne in May.
Grow in leafy, fertile, humus-rich, moist soil in full or partial shade. It will reach a height of 23cm and a spread of 30cm.
