Damson ‘Shepherd’s Bullace’
Cooker. Bullaces are very closely related to damsons, but are round instead of oval. A cultivar of the wild bullace sometimes found in hedgerows, this variety is like a rounder, smaller, golden damson. Large, round to oblong, greenish-yellow fruits with a very sharp flavour are borne in late September, leave these on the tree until a few frosts have sweetened the fruit. Flowering Group 3.
