Fagus sylvatica ‘Atropurpurea Group’
Copper Beech. A large tree which produces leaves in various shades of purple in spring which turn a rich copper colour in autumn. Deciduous.
It is tolerant of a wide range of well-drained soils. Grow in full sun to get the best colour from the foliage. It will form a hedge from 90cm tall or more and once established will have an average annual growth of 45cm.
