Prairie Smoke. A rhizomatous perennial forming a slowly spreading clump of hairy, deeply divided, blue-green foliage. From late spring into summer, nodding, bowl-shaped flowers in shades of purple to reddish-pink appear, followed by distinctive upright, feathery seed heads in silvery-pink tones
Grow in well-drained soil in full sun. Ideal for prairie-style planting, gravel gardens, or naturalistic borders. Tolerant of dry conditions once established. It will reach a height and spread of 30-45cm.
