Spring Starflower. A bulbous perennial which has slender, grass-like, mid-green leaves that grows in a clump and emits a mild onion-like scent when crushed. From March to April, star-shaped, rosy-pink to mauve flowers are borne atop a slender, upright stem. The flowers open during the day and close at night.
Grow in full sun to partial shade in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil that does not dry out. It will reach a height of 15-20cm and a spread of 5-10cm.
