Spring Starflower. A bulbous perennial which has narrow, grass-like, green leaves that grows in a clump and emits a mild onion-like scent when crushed. From March to April, star-shaped, light blue with a slight lavender tint flowers are borne on slender, upright stems. The flowers open during the day and close at night.
Grow in full sun to partial shade in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil that does not dry out. It will reach a height of 15-20cm and a spread of 5-10cm.
