Japanese Honeysuckle. A vigorous, woody, evergreen to semi-evergreen climber which has deeply lobed, purple flushed, dark green leaves which are borne in pairs. From June to October, whorled clusters of red buds open to tubular, white to pale yellow flowers which are bright reddish-pink on the outside. The flowers are followed by glossy, black fruit.

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 6m and a spread of 1.5m.
