Oregon Grape. A small shrub which has pinnate, glossy dark green leaves which sometimes turn red in winter. Bears fragrant, rich yellow flowers from March to April which are followed by blue-black fruits.

Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full or partial shade. They will tolerate a sunny position if the soil isn’t too dry. It will reach a height of 1m and a spread of 1.5m.
