A small tree with an upright, spreading habit which has oval, serrated, dark green leaves, turning to shades of yellow in the autumn. In April and May, Â white or pale pink flowers are borne in clusters which are followed by small, orange-red crabapples in autumn which are ribbed in appearance looking like mini pumpkins that persist into the winter. Deciduous.
Grow in moderately fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 4-6m and a spread of 3-4m after 10 years.
