Description

Melica ciliata ‘Silky’

An attractive and distinctive ornamental grass with often glaucous, stiff, narrow leaves and up to 15cm long, stiff, upright flower spikes densely covered with silvery-white or yellowish, silky hairs.

Grow in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Dislikes wet winter conditions. It will reach a height of 90cm and a spread of 60cm.
