A medium sized apple which has greenish yellow skin which is streaked with red on the shaded side, and dark red on the exposed side. Over the coloured part are patches of ash grey russet which forms a smooth and firm crust. The flesh is yellowish and has a crisp, juicy, sweet, and aromatic flavour. Picks in October and can be in use to February. (Bristol 1975) Flowering Group 3. Self Fertile.

A very large apple which has which has yellow skin on the shaded side and a faint blush of red with crimson stripes on the exposed side. The brisk, and finely textured, green tinged flesh cooks to a strongly flavoured pale yellow puree, hardly needing extra sugar. Its season of use is October to February, it also makes a nice dessert variety. (Suffolk 1873) Flowering Group 3

A medium to large sized apple which is flushed with dull reddish brown over deep green coloured skin. The greenish white flesh is firm, fine-textured, juicy, and somewhat acid, with a pleasant nutty flavour. Pick in October, its season of use is from December to March.
