Polypodium vulgare

Common Polypody. An attractive, native evergreen fern which has long,  deep cut, leathery, dark green fronds with a slight sheen, and an attractive, lacy appearance.

Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, gritty or stony, well drained soil in full sun or dappled shade, with shelter from cold, dry winds. It will reach a height of 30cm and its spread is indefinite.
