Himalayan Cherry. An ornamental, small, round-headed tree similar to Prunus serrula and Prunus himalaica which has peeling reddish-brown and amber bark, and rusty hairy young shoots. Small, solitary or paired, hanging flowers are produced with the green leaves in late spring, followed by dark red, oval fruit.
Grow in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 5m and a spread of 4m.
