Prunus ‘Yae-murasaki’

A slow growing, broad umbrella-shaped, tree which has reddish-copper coloured leaves as they emerge which later become deep green before turning a brilliant orange in autumn. It is extremely floriferous, bearing purplish-pink blossom from late-April to early May.

Grow in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 3m in 20 years.
