A robust, upright, clump-forming perennial which has large, deeply veined, palmate, mid-green leaves borne on woolly, red-brown stalks. In June and July panicles of creamy-white or pink flowers are borne.

Grow in fertile, moist, humus-rich soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 2m and a spread of 1m.
