Brown-Eyed Susan. An upright, clump-forming, short-lived perennial with elliptic, toothed, mid- to dark green leaves. From late summer into autumn, dark, wiry, branching stems bear lance-shaped leaves and yellow-tipped, orange-red flowers with dark brown central cones.
Grow in moderately fertile, preferably heavy but well-drained soil which does not dry out, in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 1.2m and a spread of 60cm.
