A semi-evergreen, bushy perennial which has slightly aromatic, lance-shaped to oval, mid-green leaves. From August to October,   bright magenta-pink, tubular flowers, with a distinctive curved shape are borne in loose spikes on upright stems.
Grow in light, moderately fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. It requires protection from harsh winter conditions and performs best in areas with mild climates. It will reach a height of 60-90cm and a spread of 50-60cm.
