Description
Sorbus aria
Whitebeam. A compact, rounded head tree with greyish-white foliage in spring turning bright green, white underneath, then russet and gold in autumn. White flowers are borne in spring which is followed by deep crimson berries which appear in autumn. Deciduous.
Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. It will thrive in acid or alkaline soil. It will reach a height of 10-25m and spread of 10m.
