Tradescantia x andersoniana

Spiderwort. A tufted, clump-forming perennial which has erect branching stems with long lance-shaped, mid green leaves. From early summer to early autumn, three-petalled purple to sometimes blue, pink or white flowers are borne in clusters at the end of shoots.

Grow in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Cut back flowered stems to encourage new flowers. It will reach a height of 40-60cm and a spread of 45-60cm.
