Spiderwort. A tufted, clump-forming perennial which has erect branching stems with long lance-shaped, blue-green leaves. From early summer to early autumn, three-petalled purplish-blue flowers with yellow centres are borne in clusters at the end of shoots.

Grow in moist, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Cut back flowered stems to encourage new flowers. It will reach a height of 35cm and a spread of 40cm.
