A rosette-forming short lived perennial which has short-stalked, ovate, slightly scalloped. wrinkled, conspicuously veined, dark green basal leaves. From June to September, slender racemes of saucer-shaped, flowers in a range of pastels shades from cream to pale pink, lavender, and buff, with purple stamens are borne.

Grow in alkaline, poor, well drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 60cm and a spread of 45cm.
