Wayfaring Tree. A deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub with stout spreading branches. It has broadly ovate, finely toothed, grey-green leaves up to 12cm long. In summer, cream to white, arranged in dense clusters measuring up to 12 cm across are borne. Each small individual flower has a pleasant, though not strongly fragrant, aroma.
Grow in moist, well-drained, loamy soils in full sun to partial shade. It can tolerate dry soils and is adaptable to various soil types, including alkaline soils. It will reach a height and spread of 3-4.5m.
