Common Quaking Grass. Trembling Grass. A perennial grass which forms a dense tuft of linear, finely bristle-margined, blue-green leaves. From late May to June, the erect stems produce open, pyramidal panicles of nodding, heart-shaped spikelets, which are purple-tinted green at first, they become straw-coloured when ripe and are arranged lie a rattlesnake’s tail.

Grow in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height 60-90cm and a spread of 30cm.
