Korean Feather Reed Grass. A useful, clump-forming grass with an upright habit which has gently arching fountains of grey-green foliage, which takes on buttery shades in autumn. From June to August, tall, fluffy flower heads which are silvery-grey with pinkish-purple tints are borne.

Grow in fertile, moist soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 1.5m and a spread of 90cm.

Description

Calamagrostis emodensis

A graceful, upright, clump-forming deciduous grass with arching, narrow green leaves that create a soft, flowing habit. From mid to late summer, airy, open panicles of purplish-bronze flowers are borne above the foliage, gradually maturing to soft buff tones that persist into autumn.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. It will reach a height of 120-150cm and a spread of 60-90cm.
