A hardy, deciduous tree known for its upright, broadly conical habit and striking autumn colour. It has oval, serrated, mid-green leaves that turn a vivid crimson-red in autumn, making it a real showstopper in the garden. In spring, the tree has small, catkin-like flowers, followed by hop-like fruit clusters that add extra interest into late summer.
Grow in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and is well suited to exposed sites. It will reach an ultimate height of 8-10m and a spread of 4-6m.
