Common Quaking Grass. Trembling Grass. A perennial grass which forms a dense tuft of linear, finely bristle-margined, blue-green leaves. From late May to June, the erect stems produce open, pyramidal panicles of nodding, heart-shaped spikelets, which are purple-tinted green at first, they become straw-coloured when ripe and are arranged lie a rattlesnake’s tail.
Grow in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height 60-90cm and a spread of 30cm.
A densely tufted, deciduous grass which has erect, narrowly linear to filament-like, tightly inrolled, bright green leaves, 30cm long. In summer, greenish white at first, becoming buff, narrow nodding, softly feathery panicles to 30cm long are borne.
Grow in moderately fertile, medium to light, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 60cm and a spread of 30cm.

Sedge. A dense, clump-forming, evergreen grass which has stiff, narrow arching leaves with distinctive green and white variegation. Bears brown flower spikes from April to June.
Grow in moisture retentive soil with good drainage in sun or partial shade. It will reach a height and spread of 30cm.
