Erigeron glauca
Beach Aster. A tufted perennial with succulent-looking stems and inversely lance-shaped, more or less glaucous leaves with blunt points. Semi-double flowerheads, with thin, pale mauve ray-florets and yellow, later brown disc-florets are borne from May to July.
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil that does not dry out in summer, in full sun with some midday shade. It will reach a height of 30cm and a spread of 45cm.
