Lamprocapnos spectabilis [Valentine] = ‘Hordival’
Synonym Dicentra spectabilis ‘Valentine. Bleeding Heart. A elegant perennial which has tight clumps of often red-flushed, grey-green leaves, with cut or lobed leaflets that grow to 40cm long. From May to July, dark red stems bear arching racemes of nodding, heart-shaped, red flowers with white tips.
Grow in rich, moist, neutral to slightly alkaline soil with abundant humus in partial shade. It will reach a height and spread of 75cm.
