Synonym. Dicentra spectabilis. Bleeding Heart. A elegant perennial which has tight clumps of light green leaves, with cut or lobed leaflets that grow to 40cm long. From May to July, rose-pink to purple-pink and white lockets are carried in long, arching sprays.
Grow in rich, moist, neutral to slightly alkaline soil with abundant humus in partial shade. It will reach a height of 1.2m and a spread of 50cm.
