Mint (Ginger)
Mentha x gracilis. Also known as Slender, Scotch, Red, Austrian, Red stemmed, Golden apple, Little-leaved or Vietnamese Mint. This mint has almost tiger striped leaves with orange stripes running down the green leaves which have an apple/ginger scent. From August to October small lilac flowers are borne on red stems. It can be used for making tea, but also makes a good addition to salads and homemade lemonade. Particularly good accompaniment to melon and tomatoes. Good for mint sauce. Vigorous growth. Recommended for pot growing due to self seeding.
Grow in a sunny position. It will reach a height of 30-60cm.
