Synonym Prunus ‘Pink Parasol’. One of the most beautiful of the Matsumae varieties with graceful spreading branches which have dark copper bronze coloured leaves when they are young, becoming green over the summer and then yellow in the autumn. In April, heavy clusters of long-stemmed, large, pale pink flowers with bright-green leafy carpels are borne.
Grow in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. It will reach a height and spread of 4m in 10 years.
