Culvers’s Root. Stout, leafy stems which carry lance-shaped leaves arrayed up the stem in whorls of three to six until just below the flowerheads. From June to September, single, erect, strong pale lavender flower spikes are borne.

Grow in rich, moist soil in full sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 1.5m and a spread of 50cm.
