    This is a ‘foundling’ apple of exceptional, high quality flavour which is being called the new garden Cox, but unlike this classic apple Christmas Pippin can be planted nationwide and will produce reliable heavy crops. The flesh has a fine dense texture with a melt in the mouth characteristic, with a sweet and aromatic flavour with a lovely perfume, and a very pleasant honey aftertaste. Flowering Group 3.

    A large apple which is flushed dull red with broken darker red stripes over greenish yellow coloured skin. Partly covered with fine grey russet. The white tinged green flesh is firm, fine-textured, and rather dry with rich aromatic flavour. Its season of use is from December to March. (Cornwall 1813). Flowering Group 2.

    A medium sized apple which is flushed orange red with broad broken red stripes over greenish yellow coloured skin. Variably patched and netted with grey brown scaly russet. The yellow flesh is orange underneath the skin and tinged green around the core. It is firm, fine-textured, rather dry, and sweet, with a rich aromatic flavour. Its season of use is from November to March. (Cornwall 1800). Flowering Group 4.

  • Apple 'Court Pendu Plat' Out of Stock

    A medium sized apple which has a bright green skin which turns clear yellow with russety dots as it reaches maturity, the exposed side is flushed orange-red. The yellow flesh has a rich, fruity, strong pineapple-like acidity which mellows to become sweet. Picks in October and can be used from December to May. It is called the ‘Wise Apple’ on account that it is the last apple to come into flower so avoids the frost. (France 1613). Flowering Group 5

    A medium sized apple which has greenish yellow skin which is streaked with red on the shaded side, and dark red on the exposed side. Over the coloured part are patches of ash grey russet which forms a smooth and firm crust. The flesh is yellowish and has a crisp, juicy, sweet, and aromatic flavour. Picks in October and can be in use to February. (Bristol 1975) Flowering Group 3. Self Fertile.

    Full Bittersweet. A medium sized apple with yellow or greenish yellow skin which is flushed, flecked, and striped pinkish-red, which is smooth and waxy, with slight russet in the stem basin which spreads out over the cheek. The greenish white flesh is sweet, astringent, and slightly crisp. The fruit is ripe in early November. (Somerset 19th Century) Flowering Group 5
