Description
Eryngium bourgatii
Mediterranean Sea Holly. A clump-forming perennial with rounded, deeply lobed, spiny, silver-veined, dark green leaves. In July and August, branching, deep blue stems bear umbels of blue or grey-green, cone-like flowers with prominent, lance-shaped, blue-flushed, silver bracts.
Needs well-draining, poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. It will reach a height of 45cm and a spread of 30cm.
