A clump-forming, perennial which has ovate, pointed, aromatic, dark green leaves. From July to September, erect stems bearing dense, whorled clusters of small, tubular, two-lipped,  bright pink flowers with dark maroon centres are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, humus rich, moist but well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. It will reach a height and spread of 45cm.

Monarda didyma (Mixed)

Bee Balm. Bergamot. Oswego Tea. A clump forming perennial which has branching, square stems which bear dull mid-green leaves. From July to September, bright scarlet or pink flowers, with red tinged bracts are borne.

Grow in moderately fertile, humus rich, moist but well drained soil in full sun or light dappled shade. It will reach a height of 90cm and a spread of 45cm.
