A medium sized apple which has greenish yellow skin which changes to dull yellow as it ripens, it is marked with broken streaks of pale red on the shaded side, but dull red changing to crimson on the exposed side, and generally russety over the base. The delicious, aromatic flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, rich, and sugary. Picks in October, at its best in November and December, but can store until March. (Ribston Hall, Yorkshire 18th Century). The creamy white flesh is firm, fine-textured, rather acid, and juicy, with a good flavour. It’s season of use is from November to March. Middlesex 1831. Flowering Group 3.

The crisp white flesh is sweet and juicy with some acidity, when fully flavoured it has a flavour of a cross between a strawberry and a melon. Pick in early October when coloured up well. Flesh is yellow, firm, crisp, very juicy, with a rich sugary flavour. It is a first-rate apple which is at its best from February to June. (Haverhill, Suffolk 19th Century). Flowering Group 3.

A medium sized apple which has smooth and shining greenish yellow skin which has faint streaks of dull red on the shaded side and entirely covered with deep red on the exposed side. As the fruit matures the skin turns deep yellow with flesh coloured patches on the shaded side and a clear crimson on the exposed side; strewed all over with small russet dots. The yellowish flesh is firm, crisp, juicy, and sweet, with a pleasant flavour. It can be used from December to the end of April either for dessert or culinary use. Flowering Group 2. Triploid.
